The Charles Culwick Helpfulness Trophy
This week the trophy was won by Chloe. Chloe won for being incredibly kind to a friend and including her in the group, even when others didn't want to.

Jack Petchey Award
Congratulations to the Jack Petchey Leader Award winners Mr Sankey and Mr Maxwell.
The Leader Award for 2025 was won by Mr Sankey. Mr Sankey dedicated 28 years of service to Cedar Hall, working here from 1997 to 2025. Throughout his time at the school, he became a respected and well-loved teacher, earning the admiration of both pupils and staff through his kindness, dedication and engaging approach to teaching. Pupils consistently described Mr Sankey as a supportive teacher who made learning enjoyable and accessible. Staff members echoed these sentiments, praising his approachable nature and the genuine care he showed to everyone around him.

This year the Jack Petchey Leader Award has been won by Mr Maxwell. Mr Maxwell has inspired generations of pupils through his positivity, kindness and boundless enthusiasm, particularly in memorable experiences such as the Fellowship Afloat residential trips and his passion for the school goats and chilckens. He is never afraid to muck in when things need doing from offering care and support to pupils who are unwell to de-icing the playground and moving furniture in his very smart suit! His contribution to Cedar Hall School has been immense, and he will be greatly missed when he retires this summer after 31 years at the school.

The Betty Whittingham Trophy
This year the Betty Whittingham Award goes to………….
Lacey Gibson.
Lacey won in recognition of the fantastic progress she has made this year. She has worked hard to make positive choices and is kind and supportive and always willing to help others.
She approaches her learning with focus, takes pride in her work and shows a responsible attitude each day.

The Gardening Trophy
This week the winner of the Gardening Trophy was Arthur (Sapphire).
Arthur won for consistently working hard during gardening lessons.

The Debbie Braithwaite Trophy
This year the Debbie Braithwaite Award goes to………
Yohan Cirin.
Yohan won as he is hard working and diligent, approaching every aspect of his learning with commitment and determination. Throughout Year 11 he has shown outstanding perseverance, completing qualifications in Science, English, Maths and ASDAN.
He is kind, friendly, polite and treats others with genuine respect.
