Cedar Hall School admits pupils throughout the academic year.  Referrals for places are made via the Local Authority. All pupils are required to have a statement of Special Educational Needs.

We understand how difficult it can be to make the decision to send your child to a Special Needs School and we therefore recommend that you:-

  • Make an appointment to view the school where you can discuss your requirements with the Head Teacher and other staff.

  • Contact your child's current school and SAS (The Statutory Assessment Service) for further advice.  SAS works to support children with special needs.   Cedar Hall works with the South Essex Team - they can be contacted at Ely House, Churchill Avenue, Basildon, Essex SS14 2BQ. Tel: 03330 13 47 36.

  • If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact the school on 01268 774723.

Some comments current parents have made:

The best thing I ever did was send my daughter to Cedar Hall.  She has gained in confidence with new friendships and her reading and writing have really improved.

I would highly recommend this school to anybody even remotely thinking of sending their child there.

I am very happy with the school.  My son has loved every minute and always enjoys coming to school.  Thank you Cedar Hall.

I can't thank the school enough.  I think it's a wonderful school that has transformed my child into a lovely little boy who is learning so much because he's happy and feels like he belongs somewhere at last."
