Year 11 pupils will be visiting The ExCel Centre in London for the World Skills Exhibition today. This event provides visitors with the opportunity to discover careers through interactive, inspirational activities and demonstrations, and helps young people visually bridge the gap between what they enjoy doing and what they could potentially do as a career.
Pupils from our Primary and Middle school departments will today be having their Christmas assembly. Parents/carers and family members will be invited too.
Today we are holding a 'purple day' where everyone is invited to wear something purple to school in exchange for a donation. All donations collected will go to The Amy May Trust which is an organisation created to support the rehabilitation and medical needs of a lady call Amy May Shead. Amy is a 29 year old lady who in 2014, had a severe allergic reaction after consuming some food that contained nuts. Amy sustained severe brain damage due to the lack of oxygen her body received. SPLAT holiday club will take place at the school between 19th and 28th July. If your child has a place at the club please ensure they bring a packed lunch with them on the days they attend. It will start at 10am each day and finish at 3pm (with the exception of 27th July when pupils will need to be at school for 9am and be collected at 4pm)
We will be holding our end of term assembly for parents and carers to attend on Tuesday 18th July (tea and coffee will be served from 10am). Prior to the assembly our Year 10 pupils will also be holding an Art Exhibition on the theme of UPCYCLING. The exhibition will be open to parents and carers between 9:30 and 10:30am. We hope to see everyone there!
New pupils due to start at Cedar Hall in September will this morning be invited into school to look around and meet their teachers and fellow classmates. Pupils currently in Yellow class who will be moving into Middle school in September will also be joining in.
This year the annual water fight at Youth Club will take place a week earlier due to many pupils being away on the Fellowship Afloat trip the week beginning 10th July. It will start at 6pm and finish at 8pm on THURSDAY 6TH JULY.. Please ensure that your child has completed a permission slip (available from Mrs Ashton) and they must bring with them a towel and a change of clothes on the night.
Parents of pupils who will be new to the Secondary Department next year will be invited to a meeting after school today. They will have the opportunity to meet class teachers and find out any information that will be helpful to assist pupils in this transition stage.
